Lockerbook

Getting Started

What you need

  • An iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 26 or later
  • Your roster (names and jersey numbers)
  • For the beta: the TestFlight app and the invite link from Lockerbook

Five-minute setup

  1. Open Lockerbook and choose the sports you keep the book for (see Choosing your sports), then tap Continue.
  2. Tap Add Team. (Just exploring? Tap Try a Sample Team to load a made-up team with games.)
  3. Pick the sport (if you chose more than one), enter your school or club name, pick gender and level (high school, college, or club/travel), and confirm the season.
  4. Check the default game format. It matches your sport and level (for example, high school soccer: two 40-minute halves; high school basketball: four 8-minute quarters; high school baseball: 7 innings). You can change it on any game.
  5. High school team? Answer Posts stats to MaxPreps. Say yes and every final game gets a MaxPreps stats file and upload steps.
  6. Tap Save, open the team, and tap Add Player for each athlete: first name, last name, jersey number. Position and graduation year are optional.
  7. Import your roster and schedule to save typing (see Import and export your roster and Your schedule).
  8. On game day, tap the game under Upcoming, set the lineup, and start scoring. Soccer: Scoring a soccer game. Everything else: Scoring other sports.

Tips

  • Lockerbook uses a dark theme by default. To change it, go to Settings → Appearance and pick Light or Match Device.
  • Turn on Settings → Require Face ID / passcode if the device is shared or school-owned.
  • Do a practice game at training to get used to the buttons.
