Fixing Stats After the Game (Head Coach)
Scorekeepers make mistakes. After a game is Final, the head coach can correct it.
Open the editor
- Box Score → Edit Stats, or
- On the game screen, tap Edit Stats (or ••• → Edit Stats).
The first time, you'll set a head coach PIN (4–8 digits) for the team. After that, Lockerbook asks for the PIN. Head coach mode stays unlocked for 15 minutes or until you leave the app.
Only share the PIN with people who should be able to change official stats. Forgot it? Tap Forgot PIN? and confirm with this device's Face ID or passcode.
Other sports
Every sport has Edit Stats. Outside soccer, the editor lists the game's plays by quarter, inning, set or game:
- Tap a play to change the stat, the player, the number (yards, pins, penalty time) or the period. Points follow the stat, so changing a 2-pointer to a 3-pointer changes the score.
- Swipe left to delete a play, or tap Add a Missed Play.
- An assist or the passer on a touchdown never scores on its own, even after an edit.
- Tap Review & Save to see every change before it's saved to the game's edit history.
Minutes, positions, and who was in goal
Two rows sit at the top of the Players tab.
Minutes & Positions lists everyone who played, then the rest of your roster. Tap a player to:
- Set the position they played in this game. A midfielder who covered at centre back is recorded as a centre back for that game; your roster is left alone, so next week they're back to their usual spot. The box score gets a POS column showing it.
- Correct their minutes when the clock got it wrong — a substitution nobody recorded, or a long stoppage the clock ran through. Leave it alone and the minutes keep coming from the clock.
- Correct their minutes in goal the same way. This changes the minutes only; saves and goals against follow whoever was in goal, which is the next screen.
Anyone you've corrected gets a pencil next to their name, and Clear this game's corrections puts them back on the clock.
Goalkeepers is the fix for a game where you forgot to assign one before kickoff. Pick who started in goal and Lockerbook works out their saves, goals against and minutes again from the plays you already recorded — you don't re-enter anything. Below that you can add a goalkeeper change for a keeper who came on at halftime or after an injury: pick the player, the period, and the minute into that period. Swipe left to remove one.
Two ways to fix things
Players — each player's goals, assists, shots, cards, and (for keepers) saves and goals against.
- Tap a player to see every play they were part of, then tap a play to fix it.
- Move Stats to Another Player… moves goals, assists, shots, saves, goals against, cards, or fouls from one player to another in one step. For example, give the second-half saves to the backup keeper.
Play-by-Play — every play in order.
- Tap a play to change the scorer or shooter, the assist, the result (goal, saved, off target…), the penalty kick setting, the time, or which goalkeeper gets the save or goal against.
- Swipe left to delete a play.
- Add a Missed Play (bottom of the screen) adds a goal, shot, save, card, foul, corner, own goal, substitution, or goalkeeper change that wasn't recorded.
Save
Tap Review & Save to see every change and any warnings, such as "The final score changes from 1-1 to 2-1". Then tap Save. Nothing changes until you save, and Cancel throws your edits away.
Every save is recorded in the game's Edit history (who and when, plus what changed). The box score shows "Stats corrected by the head coach".
If you already sent stats to MaxPreps, update them there too using the refreshed entry sheet.
Games entered after the fact
A game whose final you typed in with Enter a Past Result (see Your Schedule) opens Edit Result instead of the stats editor: change the score, the date, the opponent or the scorers there.
Reopening a game
Reopen also needs the head coach PIN. Use it only if the game isn't really over. To fix stats, use Edit Stats instead.
